My Favorite Actress and Politician Sumalatha is an Indian film actress and politician from Mandya District
Karnataka. Sumalatha has acted in more than 220 films in Telugu, Malayalam,
Kannada, Tamil and Hindi. Her most recognized role was as Clara from the 1987
film Thoovanathumbikal directed by P. Padmarajan.
Sumalatha Born on 27th August in old Madras, India. She married Famous Kannada Actor and Politician Rebel Star Late Ambareesh. They had one Child Abhishek Gowda.
She gained popularity in
Malayalam cinema and later married Kannada actor-politician Rebel Star
Ambareesh and has a son Abhishek Ambaresh.In March 2019, Sumalatha announced
that she would seek election for Lok Sabha from Mandya constituency of
Karnataka as an independent candidate. On May 23 2019, Sumalatha won against
Nikhil Kumarswamy with the margin of 128725 in the Lok Sabha election.
